The Heart and Soul Behind Favorito Cook and Bakehouse

Favorito Cook and Bakehouse is the heartfelt creation of husband and wife duo, Nelson and Melani, who moved to Canada in 2009 and 2011, respectively. With a combined 60 years of culinary experience, they bring a passion and expertise to their business.
Nelson, a master baker for over 30 years, specializes in pastries, Asian breads, and sweet buns, showcasing his skill and dedication in every bite. Melani, a seasoned cook and food chemist, has been delighting taste buds for three decades with her expertise in Asian cuisine, especially seafood and BBQ pork, her favorites to cook.
Their journey began in 2015, starting their business from home, driven by a passion for baking and cooking. They aimed to share food as a love language and introduce new flavors and dishes to Regina. Their home-based venture's success led to the opening of their first restaurant, S & A Foods, in 2016. In 2024, they proudly opened Favorito Cook and Bakehouse.
